Dr. Bryan Stein

As the owner of Pathways Dental Care, Dr. Stein is guided by the philosophy that excellence in dentistry goes far beyond the technical skills that he strives to develop and maintain – it must also incorporate a genuine concern for each client. His goal is to develop meaningful and trusting relationships in order to help clients discover their wants and needs.

Dr. Stein graduated from the University of Western Ontario in 1994. His first post-graduate training was in the Department of Dentistry at the Hamilton General Hospital. His continued commitment to education has led him to be mentored by several of the most renowned clinicians in North America including the Las Vegas Institute and F.O.R.C.E orthodontics. Presently, he is a clinical instructor with Millennium aesthetics which is a program that teaches Canadian dentists how to master aesthetic dentistry.

Dr. Stein focuses on all aspects of reconstructive dentistry including cosmetics, orthodontics, endodontics, and neuromuscular disorders. Dr. Stein recognizes that to many clients, dentistry creates high levels of anxiety and fears, with this in mind it is extremely important to him to help reduce those fears by creating an environment that is both comfortable and relaxing.

Dr. James Kim

Dr. James Kim

Dr. James Kim first became interested in dentistry while interacting with patients as a student volunteer at local hospitals in Burlington and Hamilton. When he witnessed how a tooth infection can affect the heart condition in a hospitalized patient, he learned how oral health is closely related to the general health of a person. In order to help others restore healthy smile and confidence, Dr. Kim pursued studies in Health Sciences at McMaster University and went on to complete his dental training at University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry.

Dr. Kim believes empathy is at the centre of optimal dental care. He aims to establish trusting relationship with each of his patient by actively listening to and addressing concerns. He also advocates educating and empowering his patients throughout the treatment process so as to help prevent future diseases.

Dr. Kim has special interest in integrating digital technology in dentistry in order to deliver dental work more efficiently and comfortably. He believes digital technology like intra-oral scanners play a key role in helping his patients to become more knowledgeable about the state of the oral health and making actions steps together.

Dr. Kim has many hobbies outside of work. He loves to travel. He visited 17 countries so far and is always looking for opportunities to explore the world. He also loves photography and enjoys being active. He goes hiking during the summer time and skiing in the winter. He is also an avid musician who has played the violin and the viola performing with multiple chamber orchestras throughout his life.

Dr. Daniel Cadete

Dr. Daniel Cadete

Dr. Daniel Cadete felt called to dentistry at an early age, seeing the passion his dentists Dr. Bryan Stein and Dr. Walter Heidary had for serving others. He was born and raised in Hamilton and earned his bachelor’s degree in biochemistry and biomedical sciences from McMaster University. During this time, he spent many hours shadowing our Pathways Dental team. He then earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Western Ontario, graduating with distinction.

Dr. Cadete has been practicing dentistry on beautiful Vancouver Island for the past couple of years. He is excited to have returned home to be closer to family and friends and to give back to his community. Dr. Cadete emphasizes a collaborative relationship with his patients and focuses on truly listening and communicating to understand their needs and values.

When not in the office, you can find Dr. Cadete spending time with his beautiful wife Caleigh and their corgi, playing guitar, or practicing his golf game.

Dr. Walter Heidary

Dr. Walter Heidary

Dr. Walter Heidary prides himself on helping his patients understand what their “desired smile” is, and works with them to create a plan to achieve it. He emphasizes a collaborative doctor/patient relationship; by truly listening to what his patients want, he is able to consistently achieve dental results that meet (and often, exceed) their expectations.

Dr. Heidary has been practicing dentistry since 1993. He is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario, Case Western Reserve University and the University of Missouri in Kansas City. He is licensed to practice by the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario Canada and in 41 US states.

He is married with three children, and is also the President, Founder and CEO of Childventures Early Learning Academy.

Dr. Sandra Dhaliwal

Dr. Sandra Dhaliwal

Dr. Sandra Dhaliwal’s strength lies in her caring and compassionate nature that has helped many patients overcome their dentistry anxiety. She enjoys patiently providing the most up-to-date comprehensive care. Furthermore, being a mother of three young children, Dr. Dhaliwal enjoys working closely with families and strives to make every child’s dental visit a fun learning experience.

Dr. Sandra Dhaliwal completed her Honours degree in Biochemistry from McMaster University. Continuing her studies, she completed her dental degree from the University of Western Ontario. Upon graduation she continued her studies in prosthodontics at Dalhousie University, while providing clinical instruction to dental students. Dr. Dhaliwal has presented internationally and has articles published in the International Journal of Prosthodontics and Journal of Oral Rehabilitation.

Dr. Abdullah Tahiri

Dr. Abdullah Tahiri

Abdullah grew up in Etobicoke where he attended Richview Collegiate Institute. He graduated from York University with a degree in Kinesiology and Health Sciences. While at York University, he was published in numerous scientific journals and involved with a variety of charitable organizations. He was awarded the Community Volunteer Service award from the Province of Ontario for his efforts in giving back to his community.

From there Abdullah went on to complete his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Schulich School of Dentistry at the University of Western Ontario. He has served as a dentist in the Brantford and Kitchener area and has now decided to practise close to home. Abdullah’s main focus in dentistry is using the latest advances in technology. Examples of this include his use of C.E.R.E.C (chairside economical restoration of esthetic ceramics), his integration of CBCT and digital scans for implant guide fabrications, and more -- all to provide the best possible dental experience for his clients.

In his spare time he loves playing sports, spending time with his family, and helping dentists implement the digital workflow into their practices.
